The beach is approximately a 4-minute walk from Opal Oasis; walking time varies by pace. Ask us for the best walking route before you head out. Pack water, sunscreen, and your beach gear, then come back to the house for a rinse in the outdoor shower and time around your private pool.
Schooners: casual beachfront dining
For lunch, dinner, or a sunset stop, Schooners is a walkable option from the house. This East End beach club sits directly on the beach at 5121 Gulf Drive and serves casual beach food with a Gulf view. Check its current menu and hours before visiting.
St. Andrews State Park: a day outdoors
Add St. Andrews State Park to your trip for beach time and a change of scenery. The park offers mainland beach access and is a departure point for trips to Shell Island. Check the official park page for current admission, alerts, and visitor information before you go.

Shell Island is an undeveloped shoreline destination reached by boat. The park concessionaire offers a ferry; confirm the operating schedule and your return departure before booking. Bring drinking water, food, sun protection, and everything your group needs for the day.
The island has no restrooms, picnic tables, shade pavilions, or trash receptacles. Take everything back with you. The St. Andrews ferry does not allow pets, so plan accordingly if you are traveling with a dog.
